Anne E.C.M. Saris is a postdoctoral researcher in a tenure track on medical ultrasound blood flow imaging. She studied Medical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands. In 2012, she graduated after completing her graduation project at the Radboud university medical center, Nijmegen, The Netherlands on correlation-based discrimination between myocardial tissue and blood in 3D echocardiographic images, for segmentation purposes. Since 2012, Anne has been employed by the Medical UltraSound Imaging Center of the Radboud University Medical Center, Nijmegen, the Netherlands. In 2019, she obtained her Ph.D. degree on her thesis ‘Blood velocity vector imaging in the carotid artery using ultrasound’. Since then, she has been employed as post-doctoral researcher. Her research interests include ultrafast ultrasound, 3D ultrasound imaging, technical development and clinical implementation of ultrasound blood flow imaging, with the overall aim to improve diagnosis, intervention and monitoring of cardiovascular diseases. In 2023, Anne joined the Young Board of the Dutch Society of Medical Ultrasound (NVMU).
