Dr Lee Charles Pursglove is a General Practitioner working in Northumberland with a keen interest in using generic Point of Care Ultrasound (PcCUS) to augment his consultations both in and out of hours and aid with minor surgery and joint injections. His journey started in 2018 in Emergency at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia. Currently he is leading the Primary Care Pocus (https://primarycarepocus.co.uk/) and in collaboration with industry is developing and delivering courses for GPs.
For General Practitioners PoCUS is very much in its infancy in the UK and Ireland but is widely used in Europe. He has collaborated with his European colleagues on how to integrate PoCUS into GP and is participating in a large International Delphi study to identify which PoCUS applications are best suited to GP.
