Filipe started his career in Portugal in 2003 working in Vascular Ultrasound and later moved to London to join King’s College Hospital Vascular Laboratory and obtained the Accredited Vascular Scientist (AVS) title award.
His commitment to vascular ultrasound education and research led him to collaborate with teaching at King’s College London Vascular Ultrasound MSc/PgD.
Passionate and perfectionist about his work, he also attends multiple scientific meetings and collaborates as an examiner for the European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS) Certification of Competences in Vascular Ultrasound.
Currently, Filipe is a Senior Lecturer in the Clinical Physiology undergraduate program at Lisbon School of Health Technology for Vascular Function Studies (Vascular Ultrasound) in Portugal and is also the Lead Vascular Sonographer of the Vascular Laboratory at Cuf Tejo Hospital in Lisbon since 2020.
