Fabrizio Calliada, after serving as a Full Professor of Radiology at the University of Pavia, he currently holds the position of consultant Radiologist at the IRCCS Foundation Istituto Neurologico Nazionale Mondino in Pavia, as well as at various diagnostic imaging facilities, including Affidea, Igea, and Akesis. Deeply passionate about the potential of ultrasound in medical diagnostics, Fabrizio believes it is the imaging modality with the greatest prospects for scientific advancement and widespread adoption worldwide. His expertise is reflected in his body of work, including 126 publications and 23 book chapters, earning him a H Index of 37 on Scopus and 41 on Google Scholar. Fabrizio has dealt with ultrasound contrast agents since 1992, and he has been a pioneer in the field, serving as the Principal Investigator in multiple phase 3 trials focused on ultrasound contrast agents. He has also been an integral part of the Luminary Board for ATL/Philips and Siemens, where he provided valuable insights for several years. In addition to his research and clinical practice, Fabrizio is deeply committed to Ultrasound education. As an advisor to the SIUMB Foundation, he plays a crucial role in developing ultrasound teaching programs designed for both medical students and specialists, ensuring the next generation of doctors is well-equipped to advance the field further.
