Dr. Ferraioli, MD, FAIUM, is a researcher at Department of Clinical, Surgical, Diagnostic and Pediatric Sciences, University of Pavia, (Italy). Her research interests include elastography in diffuse liver diseases, noninvasive assessment of liver steatosis, ultrasound contrast agents, and Doppler in portal hypertension. She is the coordinator of the SIUMB Ultrasound School at Medical School University of Pavia (Italy), and co-director of the EFSUMB Ultrasound Learning Center at the same institution. She is member of the WFUMB Publication Committee and Education Committee and chair of the WFUMB Steering Committee for “Multiparametric Ultrasound: Update to WFUMB 2018 elastography guidelines and consensus on fat quantification”. Dr Ferraioli has contributed to several international guidelines on liver ultrasound elastography. She is member of the AIUM-RSNA QIBA Pulse Echo Quantitative Ultrasound (PEQUS) Biomarker Committee and co-chair of the attenuation working group. She’s member of the ACR LIRADS Quantitative Imaging Work Group, member of the chronic liver disease panel of the Society of Abdominal Radiology (SAR), and chair of the AIUM Elastography Community of Practice. She is the chair of the Ultrasound section of the Scientific Editorial Board of European Radiology, subspecialty Editor of Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, and member of the Editorial Board of World Journal of Gastroenterology, Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology, Diagnostics, Journal of Ultrasound. Dr. Ferraioli has published several scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals. She has been awarded the cover page of the April 2021 issue of the World Journal of Gastroenterology. She has delivered several invited lectures in her area of expertise to international audiences.
