Jose Fernando Jiménez Díaz (Toledo) is a medical doctor specializing in Sports Medicine and
obtained the degree of doctor in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Córdoba (Spain)
with a work on the assessment of the physiological response in acFviFes simulated combat military.
Author of more than 100 publicaFons and arFcles in magazines of scienFfic interest, he currently worked as a professor at the Faculty of Sports Sciences of the University of CasFlla la Mancha, direcFng the “Deporsalud” research group aimed at the study of “Sports performance.” and rehabilitaFon of injuries”, which includes several lines of research aimed at the sonoelastography examinaFon of muscle and tendon Fssue. In addiFon, he has collaborated as a Professor at other UniversiFes such as the Universidad San Tomás de Manila (Philippines) or the NaFonal
Polytechnic InsFtute of Mexico.
An expert in the ultrasound diagnosis of musculoskeletal pathology, he has published 13 books on the clinical and ultrasound study of musculoskeletal injuries, including the book Ecoguided
InfiltraFons and the ECO MSK collecFon, with the recently published books by Cadera (Marbán 2020) and Ankle and Foot (Marbán 2021) and shoulder (Marban 2024).
Currently he is the director of the School of Ultrasound of the Spanish Society of Sports Medicine and president of the Spanish Society of Ultrasound (SEECO). He is also a member of the Safety
Commi\ee of the European FederaFon of SocieFes for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (EFSUMB).
Since 2013 he has directed the InternaFonal Chair of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound at the Catholic University of Murcia, teaching training courses in musculoskeletal ultrasound in several countries in America and Asia.
